From airport to hotel in Florence
If you stay in Florence, probably you will arrive with your flight in Florence's own airport Amerigo Vespucci or Florence Airport (Peretola) . A second possibility is to arrive at Pisa airport Galileo Galilei. You can easily reach the Tuscan capital from both airports.
1. From Florence airport (Peretola) to city center
1. By public transport : You can easily get to the city by public transport. Since 2019 there is a shuttle tram that runs from the airport to the center of Firenze. This new tram, the T2, runs from the airport to the Unita stop close to the central station. The tram runs every five to ten minutes and a ticket costs € 1.50 per person (more info airport tram). You can also choose to take the bus from Volainbus to the center. This runs every half hour from the airport to near the Santa Maria Novella station. The journey takes twenty minutes. The price is € 6 per person for a single trip.
2. Taxi transfer from Florence airport: You can also take a taxi, which has a flat rate for transport to a hotel in the center. A taxi ride costs between 22 € (day) and 25 € (evening) and € 1 extra for each piece of luggage. If you want to book a reliable taxi without stress, you can book it before your trip. The taxi driver will then pick you up from the airport.
